Yes I did! Got it from Chani, who's blog I adore. And I'm supposed to pass it on but I'm not going to since only 3 people read my blog anymore. (That's all my fault) If you're still here, and you wanted that award for yourself, by all means honey take it. Because if you
are still around after my only posting about once a year then in my opinion, you ARE Lovely.
Now that I'm done bragging about that, I have to steal an idea from Chani. Well technically it's not really stealing since she got the post idea from someone else too right? It was 6 things that make me happy. At this very moment. Ya'll already know about Peanut, shark teeth, the beach, shoes, pinching earlobes, my nephews, pinching my nephews earlobes, ok just pinching in general- all that stuff. So I'll tell you about some different things that make me happy. Today.
1. And this is in no certain order. This is going to sound weird but Exercise makes me happy. Yeah. I can't believe I said that. But it's true. When I am exercising on a regular basis, which for me means 2 or 3 times a week, I'm in a better mood. I have more energy and I sleep better. I also don't have those "I hate my body" voices in my ear so much even if I don't notice a difference in the mirror. Because I feel like I'm actively doing something about it. Saying that I have to admit that the getting motivated to get up and go exercise is still hard for me. But once I'm in the middle of it, I do get that high everyone talks about. I used to run but now I just power walk about a mile and a half. I find my knees and ankles ache less since then.
2. There's a bird nest on a wreathe next to one of my neighbor's front door and I can't even tell you all how happy that makes me. I spotted it a couple weeks ago and at first I thought it was decoration. Upon closer inspection I saw a tiny bird in it that I still thought was fake. Until it flew out and freaked me out. So I try not to scare them but there's chicks in there and I make a point to pass by on my way to my work out to check on them, trying my best not to scare the mother. MrPea teases me about it and says if he saw a giant face in the window every afternoon, he'd probably want to relocate but I can't help it so I just peep quickly and then go. I'll post some pictures when I can of them.
3. ok I know I said I wasn't going to mention pinching since I already told you guys about that before but I can't take it anymore. I have to. Pinching makes me happy. Yes it does. I love to pinch my loved ones. I have to keep it to a minimum because most people don't like to be pinched but I can't help it, even Peanut gets it once in a while. And the fact that I'll be at my sister's house a week from Saturday...oh man. My fingers are already in a pinching position. My nephews are going to have their earlobes and bellies pinched and that's just the end of it. I'll probably pinch my sister's earlobes too. Because that's the way I roll.
4. Photos. Taking them and looking at them makes me happy. I really love taking pictures but I also really love looking at people's photo albums. I'm always the only one who says yes really enthusiastically when someone asks if I want to see the 500 photos of their kids. If they have 500 photos of their vacation that no one usually wants to see, I do. I think you can learn a lot about a person from the photos they take. So yeah, photos. And since I mentioned my nephews, we'll be taking a lot of pictures too. Too bad, they're just going to have to smile and say cheese whether they like it or not cuz Auntie likes to take pictures.
5. MrPea and I are planning a trip and I'm so excited about that. We haven't been away together in a long time so it will be fun. There's really no need to make plans to go vacation when you live in Florida, I know that. But ever since that winter I spent in Canada I've had separation anxiety. I spent such a long time away from home that I never wanted to leave home or go anywhere without Peanut. So now that the reservations are made I'm getting excited. It will be fun. I'll be taking lots of pictures then too.
6. Lastly, I mentioned this the other day but this really makes me happy and it's my damn blog so I can talk about it again. My doctor told me a year and a half ago not to have any babies for 2 years and I cried for days over it. But now that it's been a year and a half, I'm thankful that the time is passing by because January will be the last time I have to take radioiodine for at least five years(keeping my fingers crossed that the scan will be clean which is %99 likely) and it will be safe for me to have a baby. heeheehee I get all giggly just thinking about it. But ok like I said, I'm not to dwell on it anymore. That's the last you'll hear about it from me. For a while.
So there you go. Feel free to steal this post since it was never my original idea in the first place.

Monday Meme
I got this from a blog I delightfully found by accident. Thank you Curious Cat for giving me something to blog on a Monday......
1) What book has most touched your soul?
-I read so dern much I can't really say this book or that book touches my soul. I was lucky enough to have had teachers in elementary school who read to us a lot and I'm sure that's what sparked my love of reading. When I was in the 3rd grade my family moved and I was in a new school. The county happened to be having some kind of book reading contest and our teacher was reading a Ramona book to the class at the end of each day that we were "good." I participated in the book contest and enjoyed listening to my teacher read to us and that was when I started reading books on my own. My dad even took me to get my own library card and I remember being really happy about it. So that's the best answer I can come up with.
2) How do you think being a teenager today is different from when you were a teenager?
-In some ways it's easier and some ways harder. Easier because today they have a lot more access to information. Harder because, well, they have a lot more access to information. But I'm going to say it's about the same only like I said, they have internet, ipods, and gas is more expensive.
3) If you found out for sure there was no afterlife at all, would you change how you live your life?
-I would probably get really depressed. If all this beauty and ugly were for nothing is a question I ask myself often. No afterlife, the thought makes me very sad and frankly scared. I am not one of those people who don't fear the thought of completely disappearing, losing all thought and existence. What would the point in living be then? I can't really say I would change the way I live my life but I would live it with a fear and sadness without hope that I can't fathom. So I don't really know how to answer this question.
4) What is the biggest regret of your life so far?
-That's easy. I never finished college and I don't have any children. Well the children thing is not as big a regret because I can still have one given me being healthy enough to carry one and if not, there are other ways of becoming a mother. But the school thing. Yeah, what a waste really. But even then, this is also something I could change eventually.
5) Show and Tell. What comes to mind first when you see this picture? Or, tell a story if it reminds you of one. Oh moose. No it does not make me think of Sarah Palin.....nor any of the pictures I saw of her smiling over the dead body of a big beautiful moose. Honestly it doesn't. (Plus I eat meat, so I have no place to judge. It's just for some reason I have a soft spot for moose. )
I think of Canada. When I was in Canada(for that COLD LONG NEVERENDING WINTER), I wanted very badly to see a moose. My in laws offered to drive me to the zoo to see one. But I said it didn't count. I have to see one in the wild. I walked my dog all over the place hoping to see a moose. Never saw one. I did see a bunny though. Maybe next time.
Feel free to tag yourself, anyone. These things are always useful for those of us who get blogger's block.

Because I have blogger's blo(g)ck
I stole this from Suebob
The ABCs of Me
Accent: Slightly Southern, but I can turn it off and on when need be.

Chore I don’t care for: Dishes, bathroom cleaning, cooking, ok all of it.
Dog or Cat: I have a dog but I like cats too.
Essential Electronics: Camera. I never leave home without one.

Gold or Silver: Silver.
Handbag I carry most often: It's a white leather Micheal Kors brand-not that brand matters but I liked it.

Job Title: Queen of the Universe--um hello, did you see my profile?
Kids: Not now. Maybe not ever. I change my mind every day.
Living Arrangements: A husband and a dog in a condo by the sea. Outnumbered by males in this house dammit.
Most Admirable Trait: I'm not sure. My loyalty.
Naughtiest Childhood Behavior: Sneaking out of the house at night to go to my BFF's house so we could jump on the trampoline. Oh we also used to steal her mom's car. We also got suspended from school for throwing Nerds(the candy) at boys on the bus. Pretty exciting stuff huh.
Overnight hospital stays: Story of my life lately.
Phobias: Please! I'm scared of everything. Ghosts including but not limited to evil spirits, clowns, serial killers, darkness, sharks, alligators, Psychoman.

Vegetable I Refuse to Eat: Seaweed. It's gross.
Worst Habit: Procrastination.

Tag-tastic
My Seventh Sister tagged me(thanks!). I'm sort of sorry not to have any exciting answers....
1. What am I reading at the moment? Right now, my Peterson Seashores Field Guide. I've been taking advantage of the good weather so I've barely been home to read anything. Low tide has been in the afternoon all week and it's been sunny, so just guess what I've been doing.
2. What am I listening to at the moment? Oh everything. My ipod is set to shuffle. Elvis has been getting a lot of air time lately. Old Cure songs too. How random is that? French hip hop. I don't understand a word but I'm pretty sure it's the filthy kind. For some reason I feel like a badass when I listen but it might just be because I'm working out at the time.
3. What am I watching at the moment? Oooh! I just saw Sweeney Todd the other day. I liked it. There were some reviews that made fun of the way Johnny Depp sang but I thought he did fine. But Johnny can do no wrong in my eyes anyway so maybe my ears are broken. I really did like the whole movie though. A lot. And I'm waiting for Lost to come back on. And I have to say that I have been watching most of the Presidential Debates. I'm a concerned citizen like that you know. I care about stuff ok? Betcha' didn't know that didya?
I'm supposed to tag people but I'll just do as always and tag whoever wants to be.

7 Things meme
I stole it from Heartinsanfransisco......
7 Weird things about moi:
1. That song about West Virginia by John Denver always makes me cry(in a good way). It's not even my home-state, it's my dad's. But when I hear that song, all my summers I spent on Grandparents' farm and all the love I have for my Grandparents, my family there, and my love for West Virginia squeezes my heart and I'll start missing them so much I can't breathe. My dad once told me and my sisters he would hear it when he was in the Navy and away from home and get homesick. I haven't been back there since my Grandpa died. Corny right?
2. If I'm watching an interview on TV and the person being interviewed is sitting in front of a bookshelf, I completely lose interest in the interview and start trying to read the titles of the books. This also goes for any scene in a movie or tv show. I always want to know what kinds of books people are reading.
3. If someone compliments my cooking, they could probably commit murder and I would still find that person charming. The thing is, as I've said before, I hate to cook. HATE to. But I like to hear good things about my cooking.
4. I love my ipod and would voluntarily have it surgically attached to my ears if I could. I also never leave the house without my camera. I also really love to watch old episodes of The Joy of Painting. I guess this is really three things? Oh well.
5. I get scared easily. And I'm scared of just about everything and everyone. My husband and I went to see that movie Scream 2 and the theatre had a guy dressed in that murderer ghost costume scaring everyone and I calmly told him,"Get the F- away from me." I also said this to a clown who tried to give me a balloon....sorry Mr Clown, Angel don't play that.
6. When I was little I had an imaginary friend named Warrwick and in my imagination, he did all the things I was too shy ,too scared, or wasn't allowed to do. Like stay up late and watch The Incredible Hulk. That green man in torn clothing made me cry and still gives me the creeps to this day.
7. I also really loved Big Ben for some reason. When I was in kindergarten I got in trouble for stealing a book from the school library that had pictures of Big Ben in it.
So that's it....I hope everyone is having a fun and safe weekend. Feel free to steal it.

I'd like to thank the Academy...and dedicate this award to my peeps
Heartinsanfransisco has been nice enough to award me with a Nice Award! Since it's a nice award I guess gloating is out of the question........
I'm supposed to pass it on to 5 of my peeps. Hmmm, who is nice???.....oh yeah, I don't hang around mean people. Every person from my cool people section deserves this award. Well except maybe....just kidding-I had you for a second there didn't I??
I included both award pics like hearts did so people can choose which one they like. I lean a little towards this one because that cat looks like a smartass and you all know my affinity for smartasses. It was made by Big Brother over at Life in the Twilight Zone. I've never met him in my life but I though it was proper to give credit.
Well it sucks that the rules said 5 dammit. But these 5 were my first blog friends so since it is a nice award.....feel free to pass it on or not.
Laurie from Don't MAKE me get my flying monkeys actually was the very first blogger to befriend me. She is so very dedicated to her family and loved ones. So many of her posts are humbly filled with the deeds she does for them and how much she cares for them. She always has beautiful pictures of her surroundings and something interesting to say. In her most recent post she leaves an address to send cards or letters to her father in his new home. This is a perfect example of the kind of person she is.
Thailand Gal's blog is one of the most thought provoking blogs I've ever been lucky enough to stumble upon. Her kind of thought provocation usually aims us inward than out. Even when she writes about a hot button issues, her words always seem to force us to think about ourselves, our place in the world and how we contribute to or take from it. Her descriptions of her heart's home, Thailand, and her love for a culture she wasn't born into but adopted, give people who don't feel they have a place in the world, inspiration to create one on their own.
Hel, from Truth Cycles, writes so vividly and so poetically about(literally) everything under the sun in her home in South Africa. Her hopes and fears for her self, her country and its people can be seen in her photos as well. She is someone who is not afraid to show vulnerability in her true spirit and someone who finds herself in nature. This measly little paragraph doesn't even do justice to how visual her writing is. AND her photos of her beautiful dogs appeals to the dog lover in me.
Super Des from The Wonderful World of Des is one of the funniest, 'smartassiest' bloggers on the block. Her humor in everyday situations and the people in them leave me cracking up again when I encounter the same things on my own. I like that her humor is so honest but not mean. She also likes to make up her own words, just like I do.
Flutter is one of the most talented writers...I don't even have good enough words to describe. Sometimes, I'll be reading a post and I feel like I'm reading one of my old Anais Nin diaries. Not because of the sensuality but the quiet sweetness of moments she shares with us. I feel privileged, like I've been let in on a secret. Her poetry is like a soft breeze.
I'm not a good enough writer to really express how great these bloggers are so check them out. And while you're at it take a look at the rest of my peeps in the cool people section. My plan was to mention EVERYONE I linked with so as not to leave anyone out anyway. Until I saw what time it was and realized how hungry I am.....so forgive me if you feel that way. It's not that I value one above the other, it's just that I'm hungry:O)
By the way, I'm still working on interview questions for the rest of the people who asked and I'm not finished yet so give me a couple more days if I haven't got them out to you yet. I will, I haven't forgotten.

Q&A Meme!
1. You are, happily for all of us, a cancer surviver. Did having such a serious illness make you re-think your priorities in terms of what was really important?
Yes and no because everything that was important to me before, was still important just more so. But I felt closer to the things I loved so much and was determined to stop telling myself,"When...then..." (As in, "when I have more money, more time, more energy etc, then I'll do this or that), and start start telling myself,"You've waited long enough, just do it already." One priority that changed was taking care of my self first. Like all 'nice' girls I was brought up to always defer to others. I no longer try to worry about that and try very hard to say what I mean or say no without hurting anyone. But I had to come to terms with the fact that I can't please everyone. It's still something I struggle with but I'm getting better. I'm more proud of myself now-that too.
Although I have to say, I don't really consider myself a cancer surviver in the same way as say a breast or lung cancer patient would. This is because the kind of cancer I was diagnosed with having doesn't normally kill people. The amount of aggression my cancer took on had me(and my doctors) believing 'it' was trying to kill me though. There was never a doubt in my mind that I would kick it's ass. But I was more afraid of the surgery and rightly so because there were so many complications. I went in for what is usually a 1-2 hour surgery and ended up having a 9 hour surgery and a really difficult recovery. So I feel more like I am a survivor of that. And I remember EVERYTHING about my surgery. While I was under I was aware of the fact that I was still in that hospital and maybe it was all just one long beautiful and scary dream but where I was, who I was with, what I was told is as vivid in my mind as if it were just hours ago. It haunts me and comforts me at the same time, but is still hard for me to put into words without losing something about it or feeling like an idiot, otherwise I would have posted about it by now! One of these days.
HAH! Well we already have a delusional Chihuahua in the White House so I'd like to see a St. Bernard as the President-SMART, strong, dependable, good in an emergency and knows how to get us out of a damn dangerous avalanche while bringing brandy in a little barrel around his, or HER neck.
Movie Star-Jack Russels, like my Peanut make the best entertainers. They're also very good looking dogs that hump anything that moves so they already have that in common.
Athletes-Peanut will be mad at me for he's a wonderful athlete but for the sake of being non discriminating I'll say Greyhounds. They are strong, beautiful animals and their ancestors were even mummified and buried with their owners in ancient Egypt. There's an old man in my neighborhood who has two ex-racer rescue Greyhounds who always refers to them as 'the athletes' and is always driving them to the dog park and bragging about how his athletes want to stay in shape so this made me think of them.
Chef- Blood Hounds since they have such a good sense of smell and I don't eat anything if it doesn't smell good.
Talk Show Host-Maybe Yorkies since they look so sweet and non threatening. They do like to bark a lot too.
A New Age author-Labs are so friendly, it would seem that they would have some New Agey philosophies to share with us. A lost Lab puppy followed me home once and it had to be because he was wise enough to know I love animals and would end up keeping him if I never found his family. Huskies too... there's just something about them.
Supermodels- Mutts because I always find people of mixed heritage so beautiful. The more, the better I think.
Rap Star-Great Danes. They have the posture and the swagger, 'nuff said.
Oh I would be so happy to bring his Holiness to my beach for a picnic. I would probably get on his nerves asking him all kinds of questions about Tibet and if he believed in the abominable snowman. ( I read about that in a TinTin comic book) I would even consider giving him some of my shark tooth hunting tips, I'm sure there's something spiritual about searching for something where it is so difficult to find.
Oh it would take me days to finish, there are so many but my inner 9 year old would say Ramona Quimby from the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary. She opened the door to reading for me.
That's easy- to go back college and finish without having to pay a damn arm and leg. ( I wanted to say world peace but, well, you know, this is a meme not a beauty pageant)
Interview rules:
1. If you would like to participate, leave me a comment saying "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. Update your blog with a post containing your answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you ask them five questions.
If you request questions from me, please give me a few days so that I can personalize them.

Meme-tastic as I promised!
MEME #1
I got tagged by the great Ms.Heartinsanfrancisco herself to list 5 ways I raise my vibrations:
1. Of course music. If I could surgically attach my ipod to my ears, I probably would. I don't really have a preference of any kind, just whatever sounds good. Norah Jones is a staple and there's a song by Stevie Nicks that describes exactly the 'place' I 'was' while I was under anesthesia and who I was with. I heard it about a week after my surgery, fell to my knees and cried for some reason. I'm not opposed to filthy hiphop, although lately it seems a little juvenile and repetitive(like that stupid,"Pop,Lock, and Drop it-so annoying-and if I hear that idiotic song about lipgloss just once more, I might just cut my ears out)but every once in a while I'll hear something I like. I like everything though.
2. Art. Looking at, reading about, or creating it. I paint some. And I was into pottery and sculpture for a little while but I don't have a kiln so I stopped for now. I don't paint as much as I used to but it's still something I'm fairly good at doing.
3. Read. This a given. I like everything as far as reading goes too.
4. The sea...oh the sea. I ride my bike to the beach often to look for shark teeth or to just be. Sometimes I'm the only around(since it's still a secret beach) so I will sing at the top of my lungs.
5. Speaking of singing, I love to sing. I sing all the time. I sing in the shower, in the kitchen, in the car, at the beach(see above), while I'm walking my dog, etc,etc....This does not mean that I can sing good. I can sort of hold a tune. But since my surgery last year, I'm a little husky now. I probably should have lumped this with number 1 but I'm too lazy to edit. Ok I'll just add one more then: Walking Peanut. We have all sorts of adventures together and we've been just about everywhere(how do you think I found the secret beach?) Walking always clears my mind and I get my best ideas then.
So there it is. I'm supposed to tag 5 people but I'll just tag whoever wants to.
MEME #2
Ms.EllieBee who was also was kind enough to tag me for this AND a Rockin Girl Blogger Award(woot!) that I still never passed on to anyone, the ungrateful, lazy bitch that I am(wherein lies your cue, dear readers, to say in your most shocked voice,OH no! You're the nicest, sweetest person the world Angel!) But, honestly, I have the utmost admiration for everyone I visit and I hate to just nominate only five so it would take a week to cut and paste everyone's link that I read.....plus I lurk in a few places too where I'm too shy to comment just now.
1. Who was your best friend?
W. I can't write her name because she's still my best friend and I want to respect her privacy. I've known her since we were 8. I hung out with Sarah a lot too and the last I heard she married an ex-con. This is true, I met him before, he's an asshole as well as an ex-con. I haven't seen her in 10-11 years.
2. What sports did you play?
Sports? Cheerleading and gymnastics. Some people don't consider it a sport and I sort of agree even though I had some injuries to prove it. But here's the truth: basically it's an excuse to put a cute little outfit to prounce around in, in front of the whole school, most of whom will think you're either adorable or a complete, conceited bitch(and they were trust me). There are a few girls who take it REALLY SERIOUSLY as an artform. But I was not one of them-they got on my nerves. It got really old and I quit 2 months before graduation because I thought it was sexist, stupid and childish-yeah it took me years to figure that out. If not for upsetting my parents(because it cost so much and they were so proud of me) and Sarah-who quit with me-I would've quit earlier, I hated it that much. This is a really embarrassing fact that my husband will find any excuse to tell everyone. I did love gymnastics though so I was proud of that. I guess it could have been worse. It was a cute outfit.
3. What kind of car did you drive?
I didn't. Nobody bothered to teach me to drive so I didn't.
4. It’s Friday night, where were you?
Football game(see #2) or out doing stuff I shouldn't be doing.
5. Were you a party animal?
Not too much. The normal teenage thing. I was home by curfew-my parents were my prison guards they were so strict.
6. Were you considered a flirt?
I don't know. Probably. But not the obnoxious kind. I guess I still am. But not like that. I tease people a lot which I guess is a form a flirting, it's just not a sexual way-that's what I mean by obnoxious.
7. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?
No, like I said I can't sing that well. I wish though. I tried out for orchestra but I failed the test.
8. Were you a nerd?
Probably. An art club nerd with my nose in a book all the time.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Yes. Once in 6th grade for throwing candy on the bus. Once in 8 grade for mouthing off to my Science teacher. (he was a pervert and a jerk-nobody believed me) I also got caught skipping to go to the beach since my school was 2 blocks away from the damn beach.
10. Can you sing the fight song?
OMG yes, how dorky does that make me?
11. Who was your favorite teacher?
Mr. Beddard my junior high art teacher. He died of AIDS in 1992, it was awful. I had a lot of good teachers though, he was just special. The one everyone liked.
12. School mascot?
Senators. What a dumb mascot. My school was named after one-go figure.
13. Did you go to Prom?
Yes, just once. My boyfriend was a complete jerk and so was our double date. They fought the entire time.
14. If you could go back and do it over, would you?
Only if I HAD to. But NOOO not by choice.
15. What do you remember most about graduation?
That our valedictorian screwed up her speech ever but I congratulated her anyway because she was so nice. And that the key note speaker was my friend's dad. It was the happiest day of my life because I hated school.
16. Where were you on senior skip day?
At the beach.
17. Did you have a job your senior year?
No. My parents never let me get a job.
18. Where did you go most often for lunch?
To the beach or in the art room, painting.
19. Have you gained weight since then?
I gained 15 pounds-I was underweight so it's a good 15 pounds.
20. What did you do after graduation?
school, work, moved out, got married
21. Who was your Senior prom date?
I won't say. He was complete jerk, that's all I need to say.
23. Are you going / did you go to your 10 year reunion?
No. I have zero desire to see any of those people. I run into someone from time and time though.
24. Who was your home room teacher?
Don't remember.
25. Who will repost this after you?
Probably no one because this post is the longest post EVER. Plus everyone been tagged with it already.

Ms. Maurey tagged me
I got tagged for this meme the other day but yesterday was my day for penance :o) so here it is today.
INSTRUCTIONS: Remove the blog in the top spot from the following list and bump everyone up one place. Then add your blog to the bottom slot, like so.
1) You da Mom
2) Worker Mommy
3) Whiskeymarie
4) Gettin' It Wrong
5) Little Pea
Next, select five people to tag:
But as always I'm just going to say whoever wants to because I don't like volunteering people for stuff they might not be interested in doing.
What were you doing 10 years ago?
I was a newlywed getting ready to move to Charleston, South Carolina. We ended up only staying for a couple weeks, came back to Fl and spent the summer with my parents until we moved to California.
What were you doing 1 year ago?
I was starting this blog and trying to sign up for classes so I could go back to college and finish. Thyroid cancer canceled out my college plans when fall came but I will finish, dammit!
Five snacks you enjoy:
I rarely snack that much but if I had to choose
1) Quesidillas and salsa
2) Oreo cookies with milk
3) Grilled cheese sandwich with tomato
4) pecans
5) Cool Ranch Doritoes or Cape Cod potato chips
Five songs that you know all the lyrics to:
I sing all the time(that doesn't mean I'm good at it) so I know so many songs by heart. So here are a few I know by heart that I wish I could forget.
1) "Like a virgin" by Madonna, well ok I know by heart just about every song by Madonna. When I was 8, I wanted to be Madonna. Some of her songs are still fun but most of them bore me now.
2)"We are the World" I had to sing that song fifty f-ing times every Tuesday and Thursday in elementary school for music appreciation. I cringe just thinking about that song. There was always that one kid that would request that song for everyone to sing-I hated that kid.
3)"I love you, you love me", by Barney that infernal purple dinosaur. My nephew was about 2 years old when Barney got really popular and drove me asskicking crazy with that song. He was cute though so I put up with it and sang along for him. He turns 18 tomorrow and that makes me feel like an old hag.
4) "Livin' La Vida Loca" by Ricki Martin. I lived near Miami when this song came out and everyone was blasting it from their cars. I hated it the first time I heard it and I hated it the 87,oooth time too. I love Latin music but this was just, no...ok?
5) "Hit me baby one more time" by Britney Spears. Was never a fan of this song either but before XM radio and itunes I had no choice but to suffer through it on the f-ing radio. I'm not a Britney basher, I did enjoy that song "Toxic" and that one she did with Madonna was ok.
Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1)Travel of course
2)Buy a home in Hawaii so we could move back there.
3) Buy a basket of puppies(hey it's my millions right?)
4) Start an animal rescue shelter-I guess that's better than buying a basket of pups
5) Take my sisters shoe shopping
Five bad habits:
1) Forgetting people's names 5 seconds after they tell me-really bad! But I don't forget a face.
2) Grooming-I'm not a makeup and hair queen but I have to feel clean and neat not greasy and unibrow-y
3) Telling people what they want to hear instead of my real opinion when asked for advice
4) Procrastination-I hate this habit so much
5) Obsessing over where my keys are and did I forget them or did I forget to lock the door. Hello! Latchkey kid!
Five things you like doing:
1) Walking and biking
2) Outdoor/Beach things(like walking and biking at the beach)
3) Taking pictures
4) Reading
5) Singing/Dancing
I didn't forget shopping-this is a given.
Five things you would never wear again:
1) Anything with pleats or seemed pants
2) Those awful MC Hammer puffy pants-ok I was 12 don't make fun!
3) The color fuchsia
4) Turtle necks-I hate them, they are uncomfortable, if I'm that cold, I can wear a scarf
5) Vests- Ne.Ver.
Five favorite toys:
1) Peanut
2) Ipod
3) Camera
4) Scanner
5) I don't have one yet but my future favorite toy is a photo printer for my camera.

Because I'm lazy
I got this meme from Des. Her answers were funny. Same as her, everyone's tagged and no one's tagged.
A - Attached or Single?: Attached.
B - Best Friend?: Lives a gazillion effing miles away.
C - Cake or Pie?: Neither-I'm not a huge fan of sweets even though I did just pledge my undying love for Oreo Cookie Blizzards because I like ice cream best. I make both cake and pie for the husband though.
D - Drink of Choice?: I grew up in the South so I can't live without sweet tea or lemonade. If I'm drinking, vodka and whatever juice is available. I hate beer-it's disgusting.
E - Essential Items?: Lip balm-it might be an addiction. Books-can't live without them. I-pod and camera goes everywhere with me too.
F - Favorite Color?: I like them all. For clothes though I hate fuchsia-it is offensive to my eyes. I don't even like the word fuchsia-it sounds like a really disgusting smelling casserole or something. Puke orange is also a big no-no.
G - Gummie Bears or Worms?: Worms are more fun.
H - Hometown?: Well I live here again and I've already started to get creepy email so I'm not going to say. It's in Fl. I love Fl. Fl is my hometown.
I - Indulgence?: I have a lot. I'm spoiled. Maybe shoes.
J - January or February?: February because it's closer to spring and I hate winter.
K - Kids?: Nope. I love kids but I might not ever have any.
L - Life is incomplete without?: Peanut. The ocean. The wind. The sound of birds. And books.
M - Marriage Date?: March 7- ten years ago.
N - Number of Siblings?: 3, two sisters and one brother and I am the youngest.
O - Oranges or Apples?: I live in Fl so I have to say oranges. But I like them both.
P - Phobias/Fears?: Oh my, didn't I post about this already? I have so many but here goes: darkness, ghosts, that movie The Exorcist(and anything pertaining to demons or the like), clowns, spiders, snakes, sharks, alligators, psychos, creepies, kidnappers, anyone with a voice like that crazyman in that movie Silence of the Lambs. I can't remember what else but I'm sure there's more.
Q - Favorite Quote?:
I don't really have one but this is written inside my sketchbook and I kind of like it:
"Even in that deep misery, I felt my energy revive, and I said to myself: in spite of everything, I shall rise again. I will take up my pencil, which I have forsaken with great discouragement, and I will go on with my drawing, and from that moment everything has seemed transformed in me." -Vincent Van Gogh
S - Seasons?: Depends on where I'm living. I do dislike winter though. If I had to choose, summer then. I like to be hot.
T - Tags?: Whoever wants to be. I'm not an assertive person.
U - Unknown Fact About Me?: For a short time in my late teens, I had, what I know now is, an eating disorder. I never told anyone, except my husband.
V - Vegetarian or oppressor of animals?: I tried to be a vegetarian and only lasted a week-I caught a nasty flu and gave up. I'd like to be one because I love animals. Maybe someday I'll try again.
W - Worst Habit?: Plucking my eyebrows. I groom a lot.
X - X-rays or ultrasounds?: All the damn time. Every five minutes it seems like. I'm still not done with all my thyroid cancer crap. And I just had my teeth x-rays done at the dentist two days ago, don't even get me started on what happened and what's going to happen. I have another ultrasound and f-ing body scan coming up soon. It never ends.
Y - Your favorite food?: I can't say, I'm pretty picky. There are probably more things on the 'don't like' list.

8 Things
I sometimes pretend like I missed a meme when I'm too lazy to participate but Chani tagged me and this looked easy. So here are 8 things about moi that you might not know.
1. I hate to cook but I'm really good at it. I make really good lumpia(Filipino egg rolls) and brown sugar pie with crust from scratch. I can only make a few things but the things I can make are excellent if I say so myself.
2. Speaking of food, I'm a picky eater, I'm sure I've already mentioned that before. But I really hate fancy food- I mean food that's pretty and artistically arranged but you almost don't know how to eat it. I like simple food, not 'mixed up things', it's hard to explain. If you're picky and you're reading this, you know what I mean right?
3. I didn't learn how to drive until I was 24. This is a long, complicated story that would take forever to make anyone understand and there are too many people who read this blog who might get their feelings hurt(not that I blame anyone). I also failed my driving test twice before I was able to get my license. AND there are certain people I can't drive with because they make me nervous.
4. I sometimes record Jerry Springer. Not because I enjoy watching it. I enjoy watching my husband watching it. The combination of shock, disgust, and amusement on his face is priceless.
5. I hate casinos and gambling. I don't like the noise and the fact that it's a major rip off turns me off as well. I spent a weekend in Vegas once and the things I enjoyed most were the desert heat and the food.
6. I've never been camping. Maybe someday....I doubt it though.
7. I love science and nature shows. My siblings used to make fun of me and call me nerdy and stuff like that so I used to hide in my parents' room to watch Mr. Wizard's World and Nature. I still do and even after the all the teasing, they like them too. I recently checked out a dvd set called The Life of Mammals from the library and I love it even more than the Planet Earth series that were on the Discovery Channel the past couple months.
8. I hate phones. I hate cell phones. Despite that, I spend a lot of time on the phone because I'm too polite to say so when people call me and want to chat. I don't understand the concept of being on the phone just for the sake of, well, being on the phone.
So here's my 8 things. Kinda lame, I know but I'm feeling a little uninspired lately. Everyone's tagged, if you want to be. If not, that's ok too.
