Tuesday Confession once again

Just because I haven't confessed any wrongdoings lately doesn't mean I've not participated in any....

I stole a baby aloe.

Someone in my neighborhood has a really beautiful, healthy aloe plant on their doorstep that I admire every time I walk Peanut. Last week I noticed a bunch of baby shoots coming up on the side of its pot. I knocked on the door to ask for permission to pull one out for myself. No one answered so I just took the smallest one and put it in this mini pot. Am I an asshole?

You are such a stealer.
I love it.

You are not an asshole. You are a thief. Blessed are they who confess their sins. Now, go and thieve no more!

No. Not an a-hole. I'm sure the neighbor would have said yes. :)

Leave them an offering in a little pot... something from your garden. They'll love it!

The phantom plant exchange. :)

Peace,

Des-I know it!

Nick- I feel bad too because I really love this little plant. No more plant-napping I promise.

Chani-That's a good idea. I have some Shasta daisy seedlings ready for a new pot. I'll leave a note. I'll post a follow up to keep myself honest.

The plant had a baby, you "adopted" it.
You were doing the only thing you could- the poor thing may have ended up on the street selling drugs for a living if you hadn't rescued it.

Or, you stole it, and that's o.k.

At least you knocked on the door. That's what counts.

You didn't steal a plant. You took a cutting. Totally different things. I dunno why it is different, but it is.

If that's the worst of your thieving, you're fine, no worries, I say. :)
