(I hate)Shopping for winter clothes

I've been busy lately. Instead of posting like a good blogstress, I have been at the mall looking for warm clothes to wear until Spring. I loathe winter clothes. I've already told ya'll this. I hate long sleeves, they make me feel like I'm in jail. I hate tights, they itch. I hate hats, I'm vain about my hair. I hate gloves, they make my hands sweat. I hate scarves, it feels like a noose. I hate jackets, they are heavy and once you get to your destination you have to drag it around all over the damn place. And most of all I hate pants. Yes, even jeans, the staple must have in every person's wardrobe. But the biggest of my many reasons I hate shopping for jeans/pants can be seen here:

Until you scroll down. I'm not a big fan of paying for new jeans and then having to pay even more to get them tailored.

I did end up getting the cardigan but not the jeans. I hate cardigans too but, like I said, I'm not going through another winter feeling like slouchy smurf. I heard about another store nearby that does free alterations. I'll probably go there this weekend.

I'm still looking for the shoes. I might get these for walking just cuz' I'm beginning to feel like a girl Jerry Sienfeld in my old Nikes. I'm just not crazy about the price so let me know if you guys see anything similar for less. I'm also still looking for some boots that don't make my legs look like two stumps.....

Sick in the head...

I'm fighting off the tail end of a strange head cold. I've been stuck inside in my pajamas all day while the sun is shining and it's warm enough to keep our windows open. There's a fresh breeze from the sea. I wanted to do something outdoorsy so badly. I'm glad I rested today though because I do feel so much better. I have a couple memes I was supposed to do but I'm too lazy right now.

Tomorrow is my Peanut's birthday. He'll be 10.

Haven't heard from my doc yet

I thought my scary medical procedures were to be done this week. But I never got a phone call so I imagine it'll all begin this Monday. Damn! I was hoping I would have an excuse not to make our Thanksgiving feast....

Tomorow and tomorow and tomorow

I had a couple memes I promised I would complete tonight but I have to wait until tomorow. I haven't been feeling well or sleeping well the past couple days. So I only have 2 or 3 minutes before I fall into a sweet coma-like sleep of the century. I just wanted to say thanks for all the encouragement today because I was feeling pretty crappy and a little guilty. The worst thing in the world a person can do to me is hurt my feelings and I hate when I know I've done that to someone I love no matter how good the intentions were.

And I didn't get eaten by the alligator. I've just been sick. I'll catch up on my blogvisiting tomorow.

YAY!!!

This week I could have started my work outs since I've gotten the official ok from my doctor to exercise again. Sooooo, my choices for the past couple days have been: go work out OR go lay by the pool, with a magazine and some reggae. Can you guess what I chose?
Look at that beautiful sky and tell me you wouldn't have done the same? I didn't run into CreepyManWhoScaresEveryoneAtThePoolEspeciallyMe, fortunately. I DID run into this guy again.

He's so beautiful and I regret not getting a stronger camera. There's two of them that hang around so I guess they're mates but I'm not sure.


I also had to drive someone to the doctor.
It's the least I could do since he A)doesn't know how to drive and B)was anxious to hear his biopsy results. And I was too. It was negative for cancer which was the BEST NEWS EVER! He's just an old man and having a hard time fighting a nasty bacterial infection. We were really worried. He's getting better everyday and is back to waging war against his archenemy.
It's a little hard to see him but he's there.

I don't look forward to the day this poor lizard ends up in my dog's mouth like the rest of his helpless victims. I wish they could just be friends but Peanut has already made his decision and there's just no reasoning with a Jack Russel on the hunt.

Procrastinatin' and Slackin' Off

As I mentioned yesterday, my house needs some help. This is supposed to be my own nook for me to paint and create priceless masterpieces. So far it's just a pile of crap that gets in the way of Peanut's sunbathing. It's actually a really nice area that I had to bully my husband into letting me have. He thought we should put the computer desk there-I disagreed. I said I needed the lighting and view for my inspiration. I have an easel I stored in my parents' attic while I was in Canada and I keep telling myself,"I'll go get it this weekend." Do you see an easel here? I will go get it....I will go get it.....today....pinky promise.
I also keep telling myself," I'll get to organizing so I can start painting again today." But, see, the problem is the computer is in the same room. I come in here with the full intention of getting it together. I ended up spending this afternoon downloading a bunch of disco songs (hot-hot-hot-hot-stuuuuff plus she's a superfreak-superfeak-she's superfreakay-- yow!) and making up playlists for all my activities(disco is for my work outs). I will get to it! I will-I always do, but right now, I'm thinking I need some more reggae for my ipod because summer is coming........yeah!
