MrPea thought it was a good idea to buy a deep fryer. The home fries were good but good lord this is a dangerous thing for me to have in this house. Because I could eat fried chicken with gravy everyday, 3 times a day until I fall over from cardiovascular disease.....

oh, i'd be a goner in your household. just roll me out the door
here from des. i bought a deep fryer last christmas (2007) so i could make rosettes for a holiday party. last night at another party, we finally settled on a date for a deep fried foods party, next sunday.
luckily, i often forget i have one or neglect to buy the oil, so i haven't overused it all that much in 13 months. (i did make a mean monte cristo before i put it away under the cupboard, though!)
Guess what is on the menu for Sunday?
Fried Chicken and Fries. Hehe
