Me: Is everything ok?
Her: Yeah.
Me: Well I've been worried about you.
Her: Really? Why?
Me: Are you drinking again?
Her: No. Am I acting weird?
Me: No, just a feeling I had. If you are, you can tell me. It's not like I'm going to yell at you or something. I just want to know, so I know what to expect.
Her: I'm not, honest. I would tell you.
I think it's a lie. I'm not even going 'there' anymore because I'm having some health problems myself and the anxiety just makes it worse....still though.
Well I hope she's telling the truth.

ReplyDeleteAre you OK? I am worried about you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie-it's nothing serious. Just left over/follow up treatment stuff from my thyroid-I have to take a high dose of hormone until July and it just makes me really hyper one minute, then sick to my stomach and weak the next. I got an extra cherry on top-chest pains, anxiety, and insomnia. Anemia is also hanging around. I can't wait til this is all over and finished. Don't worry about me-I'm fine. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteIf there's anything I've learned by having V. here, it's that we can't predict the behavior of an alcoholic. Sometimes it's better to just let it go.
ReplyDeleteThinking good thoughts for you on your health issues. Sometimes the side effects are the worse thing of all!
Peace,
~Chani
I'm proud of you for asking! And good luck with your thyroid. I have a friend who had the same cancer and she still has problems sometimes, too.
