To this day, I still say we were unjustly punished. My brother got to watch tv while we had to stare at the wall. AND he was the one jumping on the bed and throwing paper airplanes and making all kinds of noise, NOT US.(we didn't even know how to make paper airplanes, but no one believed us) I use this as proof that we had a strict upbringing because for whatever reason most people in our extended family think we grew up as spoiled, undisciplined brats..... As if they never met my dad. That polka-dot ruffled dress is a perfect example of my 5 year old personality.
That's the best dress ever.
ReplyDeleteI too had to stand in the corner, and I remember one time my stepbrother did something and I Got in trouble... damn boys.
I know!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the square picture...
(Though I have two sisters, it was the youngest one that got the three of us in trouble!!!)
My much-older brother always blamed me for everything, and my parents believed him. SO unfair.
ReplyDeleteSince he knew they would, he got maximum mileage out of the situation. I'm still kind of mad at him, although I pretend I'm not.
That's a really cute picture, though. Just your basic menage a trois. :)
ReplyDeleteHow adorable. You three look so obedient.
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, my dad would follow us around and take pictures of us when we cried. There's lots of crying photos in the family albums. I cry to this day when I look at them. Poor abused children :(
ReplyDeleteGreat dress. I always get mad when I see the clothes I wore when I was a kid. "Mom, why the hell did you dress me like that?" "I didn't Yvonne. You picked that out all by yourself."
This is a great post! I love the photo and I agree totally, you were unjustly punished.
ReplyDeleteIt always works that way with young boys around. They do all sorts of wicked things but they're a bit more stealth when it comes to escaping the scene.
ReplyDeleteCute picture though. :)
Peace,
~Chani
It's strange how pictures bring back memories. Thanks for sharing yours.

ReplyDeleteThat picture is utterly hilarious! Awww. And sweet, to boot. It's not fair that there are no boys in that shot. You admit, though - that is a priceless shot!
